Vintage offers something I often struggle to find in new clothing: beautiful materials, thoughtful construction, and details that feel considered rather than added for a trend. But I don’t believe something is special simply because it is old. I look for the pieces that still feel exciting now - the ones that make you want to get dressed, experiment, and build an outfit around them.
That is how I choose every piece for Of Substance: one at a time, based on its craftsmanship, character, and potential to become part of someone’s own style.
For me, buying vintage isn’t about dressing for another era. It’s about finding clothing with a past that still has a place in the present. Giving something remarkable the chance to be worn again.
